      This is an activity that is part of the curricular area 'Area of Project' in which is sought that the pupil learns how to work with the project methodology. The teachers found it that the methodology of the CReA Project was perfectly adapted to the wanted project and that the ICT could be an interesting way of gathering the work carried out. The objective of the activity was to develop an annual project on how the students see their own city. It has been worked on different aspects of the city: gardens, bridges, means of transport, important public buildings, typical areas as the Ribeira and the daily life.

      Once the activity has been completed the students have evaluated their experience. The data which they have highlighted more are:

  1. The best valued aspect in the making of the activity has been to work in team (average: 8.1)
     
  2. The activity has been very motivational for the pupil (statement of 85%) and it indicates that it has been a stimulus to developtheir own ideas (81%)
     
  3. The learning strategies that have been favored with this activity are: the search and selection of data, the elaboration of a document and the ability to defend and to criticize the own ideas and of the other ones.
     
  4. In the presentation to the parents the 100% of the pupil highlights the team spirit lived
     
  5. The 92% of the pupil affirms to have learned how to organize an activity that involves the parents
     
  6. The experience of carrying out a CD has caused a great impact on the pupil. They have discovered a new and interesting way of keeping the information (average: 9.0)
     
  7. The 92% of the pupil comments to have discovered new possibilities in the ICT. Basically the use of the Power Point: background colors, typeof characters, animation...
     
  8. They state to have had difficulties in the work in team. The 85% of them indicates difficulties in: to organize the information, the implication of the partners and the elaboration of the work.
     
  9. The Area of Project has raised the interest of the students in such aspects as:
    • I work with the partners
    • To show the work carried out to their parents
    • The own activity itself: visit of study, computer, presentation to the parents...
