Introduction

 

• It is worth standing out that the meeting has taken place in a very good participation atmosphere by all the attending people. This has favoured the mutual knowledge, the personal communication, the presentation of the carried out activities, the work in team and the cohesion among the partners, all of which are basic pillars for the development of the project. UCA as project co-ordinator want to thanks everybody this very good attitude. Special thanks to  the Institut de L’Alma  for its welcome

 

• The meeting itself has been a good practice of the integration of ICT and  work in collaboration.

Indeed,  ICT have been used (portable, video-projector, software presentation) for the presentation of the activities, the evaluation report and the report on results and dissemination.  

It has been worked in collaboration for the study and identification of possibilities of collaboration among the partners, administration of the project and study of dissemination actions.

 

 

 

Evaluation

 

 

• It has been presented on the part of the University of Cádiz (UCA) a project global evaluation report, based on the estimate of the degree of attainment of the objectives. According to this report we should, from this moment :

Þ      To intensify the interaction among the school centres. 

Þ      To identify the results of the project. 

Þ      To disseminate the results.

 

• The use of the ICT is being a very motivational element for the students.

 

• It have been detected and analysed some discovered difficulties in activities development:
• The languages. 
• The readiness of addresses of electronic mail. 
• The number of students per classroom. 
• The lack of time. 

However these problems are not common to all the partners.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pedagogical activities

 

• There have been presented, or commented, some of the activities developed by each partner (see table)

• Dissemination to the partners of the results of the pedagogic activities.

It has been observed  the interest to know the activities developed up to  now in all the institutions. The following way are useful tool for dissemination:

• Web-site for each institution. It is indispensable to medium/long term. It allows the easy bringing up to date of the contents and the control on their structure. 
• Project web-site. 
• Electronic mail. 
• Virtual notice board TAVIRA-CREA. 
• Electronic bulletin of the project (CREANET).  
• Other tools for collaborative working (Messenger, Netmeeting,...).

 

• Activities in collaboration among the partners.

It has been worked in small teams, in a very effective way. Several initiatives of collaboration have been obtained (see Appendix for more details):

 These initiatives have been put on in common, later in a combined session.

o       The importance of a contact person to take the co-ordination of each activity has been shown.

o       It is recommended to carry out very concrete and simple activities of collaboration initially.

 

Teacher’s ICT formation

 

 

• Teachers’ ICT formation methodologies
• To organise teachers’ groups.   
• To detect formation necessities 
• To have short weekly and customised training sessions (for ex. ½ hour) co-ordinated by a computer technician. 
• To guide the sessions to the formation in very concrete abilities and to the resolution of problems. 
• To use the CREA net of partners. 
• To use materials of Internet.

 

Dissemination.

 

 

§         UCA has carried out a presentation on dissemination of the results of the project. In this sense it has been shown the interest of identifying products or methodologies that are estimated as results, and that they can interest to other people or institutions. Some of them have been identified:

o       The carried out pedagogic activities. 

o       The capacities and attitudes developed by the students  

o       The CREA methodological proposal. 

o       Resources and experience in the use of the ICT in the education. 

o       Teachers' formation in ICT. 

o       Evaluation of the impact of the ICT in the centres.. 

o       European integration in the environment of the education.. 

o       The CREA net of collaboration.  

o       The project web-site. 

o       The web-sites  of the partners. 

o       The CREANET electronic bulletin.

 

 

• It has been working in small groups and some dissemination actions have been proposed.

o        Meeting among the students of the different centres (CEI) 

o        A CD ROM with the history of L'Alma, web site, Internet (IA) 

o        Activity ' Work and professions': web site, electronic newspaper and e-mail (CNSL) 

o        Electronic newspaper (IA)

 

§         It has been shown the interest of carrying out dissemination at local, regional and national level by each partner.

 

 

 

Project management.

 

 

• From the experiences exposed in the meeting, the following recommendations can be settle down for the partners as work methodology to take the project ahead:
• It is important to have a global vision of the project. The meeting has been good to improve this perspective. Providing this global vision is an important task for the co-ordinators of each institution.
• It is indispensable to have periodic meetings of the teachers team of each centre, at least one every fifteen days. It is not necessary that they are very long (maximum 1 h.) but with the objective very concrete. The lack of these meetings causes that the problems detected be more difficult of solving.
• The evaluation of the works in electronic format, so much from the formal point of view as of contents, it is very useful to stimulate the learning and the improvement in the use of the ICT.
• To develop a web-site in each centre helps to the dissemination and the collaboration
• To put the page of the project (http://www.uca.es/crea) as favourite in the navigators for a bigger information and knowledge on the situation of the project.

 

§         It has been cleared up and deepened in the understanding of the activities of teachers related with the project, and in the importance that a good time accounting dedicated to them, for the administration and financing. A list of the types of teachers’ activities related with CREA is the following one:

o         Teachers' training in ICT, included the self formation. 

o         CREA activities during the class time. 

o         Preparation and evaluation of the CREA activities. 

o         Study of the activities of the other partners 

o         Time of educational use of the ICT (video projector, Internet, use of resources...)  

o         Documentation reading (CREANET,...) 

o         Coordination meetings 

o         Communication and collaboration with teachers and students in activities of the project.

o         ...

 

§         It has been intended the elaboration of an on-line form to send data on the hourly dedication.

 

• For the writing of the second intermediate report have been set the following dead lines:

o         30/4/02 to compute the personal dedication from the 30/9/01. 

o        10/5/02 to receive in the UCA the necessary information to make the report

 

• It has been gathered documentation related with costs of the project but not all the requested one.

 

• It has been improved the co-ordination within  the project administrators of partners,  by means of combined meetings with them.

 

• It has been settled clear the relationship and the importance of a good integration between the pedagogic activities and its reflection in the administrative management of the project.

 

• CREANET electronic bulletin

It has been agreed that it is better a fortnightly frequency.

 

• Planning

It has been agreed to dedicate the rest of the academic year to stimulate the interaction and the collaboration among the partners, and to obtain experience of it. Next year, using  this  experience,  activities of collaboration will be planned from the beginning of the school days.

The study of the activities developed in the last term of this course and the planning of the new activities will be the basic objectives of the next meeting, to take place in Palermo at the end of September or at the beginning of October 2002
