EXPLORING CReA
Some Reflections on a visit to UCA and Colegio Nuestra Señora de Lourdes (CNSL)

Dr. Francisco J. González Estepa

                 D. Francisco J. González Estepa, PhD (Open University), licenciado en Ciencias de la Educación (UNED), Educational Consultant for the World Bank. Visita la Universidad de Cádiz y el centro Nuestra Sra de Lourdes en El Puerto de Santa María, para conocer más profundamente el proyecto CReA, valorando muy positivamente el trabajo que se está realizando para la implementación de las TIC en el aula.

" CReA has a distinct focus on activities as triggers for creativity in the educational applications of ICT. The outcomes (design of curricular units, electronic journal, collaborative experiences, etc…) reflect this stimulating and synergistic value of the meaningful and inviting activities generated by the various partners. In my view, much of the success of the project to date lies in the clear perception of its educational objectives, described in terms of competencies to maximise the possibilities of ICT in the “Innovation and Learning Society”. These competencies, such as ‘learning how to learn’, ‘problem solving’, ‘efficient use of technology’, etc., seem to be supported by a down to earth, common sense philosophy that makes easy for both students and teachers to gain a clear understanding of the project and what is expected of them.
