Here you are http://www.infogreta.org/magazine/articles-9-2.htm an
interesting paper, sent to me by Maria Jordano mjordano@hotmail.com ,
participant in CREA (Universidad de Cordoba, Spain), about the use of chats
in languages learning: advantages, limitations and an experience,
evaluated, in Secondary Schools in Spain.
I want to remarks the following points, from the paper, concerning the use
of chats in learning:
|
- The importance of have participants from different nationalities, same
age (common interest).
- Be directed to a topic for discussion.
- Previous documentation about the topic to be discussed.
- Good results obtained (in the same direction that our experiences in
CReA)
|
From my part I want add another point :
- Each student (or students' team) make a little report with their opinion
on the topic after discussion. It could be very interesting to have an
initial report about the subject before the debate.
