Activity development | Teachers of the School “C.P. Manuel Pérez” have been in contact with the coordinator of the CReA proyect and other teachers involved since summer 2002. These e-mail contacts have resulted into the idea of making an activity with junior students. The initial proposal was getting enriched with the interchanges of ideas among the participants towards the final activity which has now been fully developed.
The development of this activity is based on:
Oporto students started by sending an e-mail where they presented themselves together with a riddle related to the science area. The partners of Bollullos answered them with the solution of the riddle and with another new one together with their presentation in English and in Spanish, so that the cycle continues. |

Further comments |
The creation and solution of the riddles is an amusing activity that attracts the learners' interest. In addition to it, the riddle content is related to the environmental knowledge curriculum. There were some difficulties at the beginning of the activity related to the lack of the learners' practice in handling the electronic mail which has now been overcome in most of the cases. The activity was enriched due to the opportunity of using other languages to interchange the riddles. There has been introduced modifications in the previous design of the activity. Lack of time in the computer room to complete the activity (though the activity was already prepared) was a handicap to go on successfully. In order to solve it, the learners prepared the answer and the riddle in a text processor and once they were fully finished they were immediately sent via e-mail. |
